Historical Birthdays
Most age calculators give you one number - your age in years. This calculator goes considerably further. It calculates your age in six simultaneous formats: years + months + days (your conventional age), total months lived, total weeks, total days, total hours, and total minutes. Seeing your age expressed as over 400 million minutes is a different kind of perspective on how much time you have experienced.
The life milestones panel shows 14 age-based events - from your first birthday to your hundredth - each with the exact date that milestone occurred or will occur. A green checkmark indicates milestones already passed; an hourglass shows upcoming ones. For someone born in the 1990s, most milestones will be behind them, with 50, 65, and 70 still ahead - a useful personal timeline.
The next birthday countdown shows the exact calendar date of your next birthday, the day of the week it falls on, which age you will be turning, and the precise number of days away. Perfect for planning - or for using as a personal countdown on a sticky note.
The Western zodiac sign (also called sun sign or star sign) is determined by the month and day of birth, independent of the year. There are 12 signs, each spanning approximately one month of the calendar year. Aries runs from 21 March to 19 April; Taurus from 20 April to 20 May; continuing through to Pisces (19 February to 20 March). The calculator uses the standard astrological date boundaries to determine your sign.
The Chinese zodiac (生肖, shēngxiào) is based on a 12-year cycle, with each year associated with one of 12 animals: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig. Unlike the Western zodiac which is monthly, the Chinese zodiac is annual - everyone born in the same year shares the same animal sign.
One important nuance: the Chinese New Year falls on a different date each year (late January to mid-February, following the lunisolar calendar). People born in January or early February may belong to the previous year of birth animal. The calculator uses birth year for a simplified calculation - consult a dedicated Chinese calendar tool for exact lunar dates.
