Most countries share the same core rules, and this tool only handles the sizing — so check these before you upload. Your face should be centered and straight, eyes open and looking at the camera, against a plain white or off-white background with no shadows. Use a neutral expression (some countries allow a natural smile), and in most cases no glasses and no head coverings except for religious reasons. The photo should be recent (usually within six months) and free of filters or retouching. Always confirm your specific country's current rules on its official government website.
